Bringing together the Creative Directors of some of Australia’s most significant events and providing a strong skills-based second day, the Australian Event Symposium, to be held on the Sunshine Coast on September 22-23, is an event not be missed for those wishing to make their mark and develop their skills in the events industry.
Creative Director of Vivid Sydney, Ignatius Jones, is lined up to speak, alongside Amanda Jackes from Woodford Festival, Andrew Walsh from White Night Melbourne, David Malacari from Ten Days on the Island, Tom Larner from the Australian Open and Sally Heading and Joanne Chadwick from the Santos Tour Down Under. Master Event Designer Lena Malouf and World Events Producer Julie Brooks will also give keynote presentations on Day 1.
There will be three-hour Sponsorship Masterclass to round out the first day.
Day 2 will feature 18 skills-based sessions exploring topics such as event security, crowd safety, volunteer management, social media, sponsorship, marketing and how to develop a new event or festival.
Held in conjunction with the Australian Event Awards, the conference will also deliver a number of networking and social events for delegates, including an evening of Cocktails on the Beach and “Breakfast at the Bar”, a unique venue showcase by Visit Sunshine Coast.
Full Symposium delegates will also score a ticket to the Australian Event Awards to be held the evening before the conference on Wednesday 21 September.
Full Symposium registrations completed and paid by 23 August will qualify for the conference Early Bird rate. Conference rates are also available on accommodation at the venue, the Novotel Twin Waters Resort, for the Awards and the Symposium.
