The MEA Awards for 2016 dinner was held in the Grand Ballroom of ICC Sydney and the theme was Masquerade.
ICC Sydney Executive Chef Tony Panetta turned on a fabulous meal that featured duck and shitake mushroom ravioli for entree followed by a slow braised beef cheek dish that just fell apart on the fork. I’m not a big red meat eater but I found this to be irresistible!
While I found the Keith Tulloch Per Diem Rose proved to be a perfect accompaniment to this dish others at my table found the Logan Weemala Tempranillo well suited.
Entertainment was provided by SMA Entertainment in the form of The Rat Pack Reloaded. Richard Glover employed his best radio voice as MC to keep the event rolling along.
Most of the guests got into the spirit of the evening and the arrivals foyer saw a display of masks from the sublime to the stunning.
