For anyone involved in Australian events, Thursday the 7th of October marks an important date to be in Sydney, with organisers of the Australian Event Awards hosting two not-to-be-missed special events.
Tickets are selling fast for the Event Industry Night of Nights, where winners of the 2010 Australian Event Awards will be presented with their precious trophy and recognised for their hard work and incredible achievements in events over the past year.
Held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on October 7th, the Awards are set to be a memorable night of fine dining, entertainment, industry networking and celebration, culminating in the presentation of the prestigious Australian Event of the Year award.
“The Industry Night of Nights is a fantastic opportunity for the whole industry to come together and celebrate the full scope of excellence in Australian Events. We received an outstanding calibre of entries this year, and I strongly encourage anyone involved in the Events Industry not to miss this invaluable opportunity for networking and professional development,” said Jeremy Miller, Executive Producer of the Australian Event Awards.
The Industry Night of Nights will be full of surprises and special guests, including the unique talents of Jean Kittson as MC. With an extensive career in theatre, print, radio and televising including memorable appearances on The Big Gig, Good News Week, The Glasshouse and The Great Debate Series, Jean Kittson will lead the night with her trademark wit thanks to the support of Saxton Speakers Bureau.
On Thursday the 7th October, the Australian Event Awards and the Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM) will also host the Australian Events Industry Master Class, exploring the vital tools for greater success in event marketing.
Leaders in the events industry, including winners and finalists from the 2009 Australian Event Awards, will share their secrets along with a keynote presentation from Dan Gregory from The Gruen Transfer.
“Whether you are a conference organiser, manage a sporting event, promote an arts festival, manage an exhibition, or you are a supplier to the events industry, this Master Class will provide you with outstanding marketing skills that are essential for effective event management today,” said Jeremy Miller.
The 2010 Australian Event Awards is the national awards program to reward innovation, recognise excellence and unite the entire Australian Events Industry. For more information about the Australian Event Awards, to enter or to register for updates, visit http://www.eventawards.com.au
