The involvement of American Tom Spanno who was Event Marketing Manager for Twitter has stirred up interest. The announcement that Tom was coming down under for the Eventing the Future conference created a instant increase in likes and visits to the website.
Tom will deliver two keynotes at the conference and be engaged with workshops so there is the opportunity to rub shoulders and meet with someone who is at the leading edge of social media integration with events.
Tim Rogers, the mastermind behind partnering events and charities for win-win outcomes will also be at the conference. Many international events are close to being sold out months in advance due to their partnerships with charities taking all the risk away from event managers & promoters.
This year’s conference is in Christchurch and it is fitting that one of the themes is Capturing Opportunities as this city relaunches itself and its event venues.
The National Events Conference will also host the new NZAEP Event Awards celebrating the best in the industry. With airfares to NZ less than internal flights more information on the programme and other aligned events can be found online
