The 2023 Australian Event Awards were presented on Wednesday night in suburban Bankstown.

33 awards were presented. The major winners included Vivid Sydney 2023, Destination NSW who took home Best Tourism Event, Facing the Future: Aged Care 2030 and Beyond, 2023, ARIIA who won Best Congress or Conference (<500) and National Multicultural Festival 2023, ACT Government winning Best Community Event.

Notably, Get Technical! – Behind the Curtain of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Global Creatures won Best New Event and was a state nominee in Best Cultural, Arts or Music Event. Likewise, Sydney WorldPride 2023 took home two trophies, Best Charity or Cause-Related Event and another for Best Congress or Conference (500+) for their Human Rights Conference 2023.

There were another 8 incredible events crowned the winner of their category and countless nominees.
