Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has been awarded Best Exhibition or Trade Show at the 2024 Australian Event Awards.

It is the third year running AIME has received the prestigious award, cementing its position as the premier business event for the meetings and events industry in Asia Pacific.

AIME was also named Australian Event of the Year at the 2022 awards.

AIME connects international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from Asia Pacific and around the world. Next year’s three-day event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) 10-12 February 2025.

The Australian Event Awards & Symposium is the national awards program and conference for the Australian events industry and establishes Australia’s best events and event-related goods, services and innovations over the past 12 months.

AIME 2025 will be the fourth event delivered by Event Director Silke Calder and her team from Talk2 Media and Events, which manages the show on behalf of Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB).

Calder said the recognition was testament to the incredible work of the AIME team to continually deliver an outstanding, world-class event every year.

“We are especially delighted to receive this fantastic award for the third year in a row.

“Recognition from the Australian Event Awards & Symposium, which fosters continued excellence, innovation and unity across the industry, is a huge honour. We are truly thrilled.

“We congratulate all nominees and fellow winners, who all work tirelessly to create a strong, vibrant and successful Australian events industry. Thank you also to our partners and event owner, Melbourne Convention Bureau, for their continuing support,” she said.

Talk2 Media & Events CEO Matt Pearce said he was delighted AIME’s role in the business events industry had been recognised by AEA for the third year.

“AIME is uniquely created by the business events industry for the business events industry and continues to be the region’s hub for idea generation, knowledge exchange and professional development. The AIME team’s dedication to industry collaboration and consultation creates a cohesive platform for connections.  It’s an honour to be recognised.”

Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Julia Swanson said the award cemented AIME’s position as the premier event in the region, which is celebrating its 32nd year in 2025.

“For over 30 years, AIME has been a key event for the business events industry in the Asia Pacific, and it’s an honour to see its legacy acknowledged once again in 2024.

“This award highlights the show’s impact on our industry, fostering meaningful connections and business opportunities for all involved, while delivering significant economic benefits to Victoria. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to vibrant Melbourne in February 2025.”

AIME 2025 is set to be a blockbuster, with more than 600 exhibitors, 650 hosted buyers and 20,000 meetings set to take place across the event.
