BESydney has welcomed a new Independent Director, Amy Glancey, to the strategic event bidding organisation’s Board.
Announcing the appointment, BESydney Chair The Hon. Bruce Baird AM said, “Throughout the comprehensive search process, Amy was a standout, bringing a fresh perspective as well as a unique skill-set and connectivity to the tech sector globally, which is a priority growth area for our business.”
As Chief of Staff at Atlassian since 2018, Ms Glancey is the executive responsible for leading the agenda of the Co-Founders/Co-CEOs, and Office of the CEO. Software tools provider Atlassian is one of Australia’s biggest tech success stories, recently signing as the anchor tenant of the city’s Tech Central precinct being developed with the ambition of being the most inclusive, welcoming and sustainable innovation hub on the planet.
Joining Atlassian in 2016 as the Director of Communications for APAC, Amy expanded her remit to Director of Communications for Global Markets covering APAC & EMEA footprints. Prior to Atlassian, Amy spent four years at Groupon where she led the communications team across 14 markets in APAC. Prior to Groupon, Amy held various roles across the US, UK, and APAC in both the private and public sector.

Ms Glancey joins the Board this month with her first meeting on 22 February 2023, and her appointment is for a three-year term.
