Matt Golinski – the Chef, the Survivor, the Runner – has joined the 2018 Event Symposium program to deliver an interactive Masterclass on Growing Something from Nothing – Building Extraordinary Events.
Symposium organisers are working closely with Golinski to develop the Masterclass which will lead attendees to identify their assets and their resources including passion, drive, team and energy to take a positive approach to creativity, develop a creative mindset and identify new opportunities and possibilities.
The session will include the opportunity to work directly with Matt Golinski.
This Masterclass series and the Event Symposium itself is a great initiative, and I’m very much looking forward to working with some of Australia’s events stars in my session,” said Golinski.
“All types of events are a significant part of my work and life so it’ll be interesting for me to take a look behind the scenes! It’s an uncommon but exciting format; to really interact with the delegates, co-creating their professional development experience.”
Scheduled for November 20 and 21 on the Sunshine Coast, this year’s Symposium program has gone fully interactive with a day of industry based half-day workshops followed by a day of hands-on Masterclasses led by ground-breakers from beyond the events industry.
The approach is designed to inspire attendees to broaden their field of vision to see wisdom, strategy and creativity from other domains that can keep their events work innovative and inventive.
The theme, The Skill’s The Limit: Enriching Events, focusses all sessions on tangible take-aways for attendees.
Managing Director of the Symposium, Ian Steigrad, gave an insight into the revolution in the event’s format.
“Responding to the call for upskilling in our industry’s workforce, and wanting to deliver an engaging Symposium for our delegates, we re-designed the program to offer exclusively hands-on, interactive sessions, each one focussed on specific skills needed in events,” he said.
“The Masterclass series invites impressive Australians from beyond the events industry to lead delegates through skill-building in their fields of expertise in a way that is immediately applicable to our work.
“We’re encouraging attendees to work directly with these facilitators to dream big, think laterally, and embrace skills and strategies from other areas to hopefully push event innovation forwards.”
Registrations are open, with an early bird discount available to those who register and pay by 8 October 2018.
