Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has  announced CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park will host its 2022 Welcome Event, to be held on 21 March 2022.

Located only minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, the new venue will welcome domestic delegates (from across Australia and New Zealand) with an experiential event like no other – designed to fuel meaningful connections and re-energise the business events and tourism industry.

With plans to launch AIME’s biggest celebration yet, Silke Calder, AIME Event Director, is most looking forward to uniting the community and being a part of its recovery by helping drive strong business for 2022 and beyond.

“The team at AIME and CENTREPIECE have been working behind-the-scenes to create an experience like no other – designing interesting ways to spark meaningful connections and marvellous event moments.

“We are beyond excited to reconnect with our friends and community, particularly after a challenging two years faced by our industry. We can’t wait to welcome you all in what is sure to be the event of the year – to not only help supercharge business, but also enjoy a well overdue catch-up.”

The new world-class venue will greet delegates by highlighting Melbourne’s wonderful melting pot of arts, cuisine, culture and entertainment. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in CENTREPIECE’s paddock to plate philosophy, with a menu that focuses on fresh Victorian produce and sustainability – highlighting locally sourced seasonal foods, curated within the venue’s state-of-the-art kitchen.

Helping drive the much-anticipated networking event, Laura Reddaway, CENTREPIECE Sales Manager of Conferences and Events stated, “AIME is one of the most important events of the year for our industry, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to help kick-off the official celebration!

“After years of planning and construction, 2022 marks the first year we’ll be opening our doors. We can’t wait to welcome you all to Melbourne’s home of extraordinary events and showcase how our venue will shine on the world stage.”

CENTREPIECE’s 2,000 square metre Grand Hall was designed using cues from the venue’s natural surroundings and the space is flooded with natural light through its floor to ceiling windows that welcome the outside in. Welcome Events guests will enjoy stunning views of the Melbourne CBD skyline from the expansive outdoor terrace.

AIME will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21–23 March in-person and 28 March–1 April online. For more details or to register to attend AIME in 2022, visit aime.com.au. To follow AIME’s journey on social media, visit Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
