The event: Amway China incentive dinners
Client: Amway Greater China
Venue: The Dome, Sydney Showground
Dates: 16, 20, 24 & 28 January 2011
Event produced by: Triumph Leisure Solutions
The theme for this event was inspired by Australia’s connection to the oceans and our beach culture. Our journey encompassed a full-sensory beach and underwater experience for the guests, from the welcome greeting by roving performers ranging from traditional lifeguards to colourful characters portraying the historic side of Sydney beach culture in a comical and entertaining way, to the 750 live fish incorporated into each of the table designs.
Stunning large-scale imagery surrounded the guests, projected on a 180-degree seamless projection surface at over 130m wide, 9m high and 15000 pixels in HD, the largest ever for a Corporate event in Australia. Throughout the evening, guests were transported from land to the sea, visiting some of our most beautiful and iconic landmarks along the way.
“The seamless integration of stunning large scale imagery, high impact special effects and world class live performance is what made the event so special. The breathtaking vision we produced for our enormous projection canvass became the vehicle for us to transport the audience taking them on an amazing and vivid journey beneath the sea, where we showcased a part of Australia not all our International visitors get to experience” said Blake Harris, the show Producer and Managing Director of tls.
The producers had six weeks to prepare the proposal. They presented at the end of July and were awarded the contract at the end of August. There were two days rehearsal on-site.
The bump-in was described as “five days of blood, sweat and tears”.
Big Day Out occurred in the middle of the run so to ensure minimal interruption to the event TLS rigged most of the themed elements for the event so they did not have to be removed.
The production featured over 250 performers and utilised over 100 crew
