ExpoNet has capped off an eventful year in style, taking home one of the top honours at last night’s Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) Awards for Excellence.
The exhibition and event supplier was named Best Supplier Team at the gala event at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, which recognised outstanding achievement and innovation in the Australasian exhibition and events industry.
Jim Delahunty, CEO, ExpoNet said the win was an exciting end to a year that saw the company change its name from Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire in February and successfully service some 400 events in more than 100 venues nationwide.
“The past 12 months have been incredibly busy and demanding and this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team of account managers, project managers, designers and production staff and the strength of our network of branches in Sydney, Brisbane/Gold Coast and Melbourne,” said Delahunty.
One of 14 awards presented at the gala event, the Best Supplier Team category was judged on a number of criteria, including accessibility, responsiveness, customer service, creativity and innovation.
It was a big night for ExpoNet, with one of the company’s rising stars Graham Solling also among the finalists for the prestigious Richard Geddes Young Achiever award.
Delahunty said the company was now preparing for an even bigger year in 2011.
“It’s a wonderful honour to be recognised by a judging panel of industry experts, but we are not about to rest on our laurels. The ExpoNet name indicates our direction for the future and the broad range of industry products and services we now provide and we are working hard to ensure that 2011 is our most successful year yet,” he said.
