Today, the State Library of NSW proudly announces the appointment of Laissez-faire Catering as exclusive caterer for the next three years after the company won the call-out for tender. The appointment consolidates Laissez-faire’s ten-year association with the institution that has seen them trusted as the venue’s preferred supplier for events, catering and sole operator of the in-house Café Trim. To date, the Sydney-based culinary and events experts have delivered over 20 exhibition openings, 1500 Library events and 1000 private functions at the venue, all exceeding the highest expectations.
Laissez-faire Catering won the tender with an impressive vision for expanding the Library’s hospitality and food service offering, and with their commitment to innovative cuisine and consistent quality.
“We are exceptionally proud to continue our decade-long relationship with the State Library of NSW in terms of delivering exceptional cuisine, superior events and providing a sought-after café offering,” said Sara Flaksbard, General Manager of Laissez-faire Catering.
The State Library of NSW will open its new galleries and learning centre on Saturday the 6th of October 2018. For Sara Flaksbard, the timing is ideal. “The opportunity to enhance our offering when the State Library of NSW is unveiling new spaces is the perfect showcase for both parties. We look forward to revealing our exciting plans in the coming months, which include renovations to the existing café and the introduction of new event spaces for the corporate market”, she says.
Laissez-faire has been a catering partner at the State Library of NSW since 2007, and is also exclusive caterer at the Australian National Maritime Museum. Laissez-faire Catering is also one of a limited number of caterers with access to Prince Henry Centre, Harbour 220, The Venue Alexandria, Royal Botanical Garden, National Art School, Wylie’s Baths and the Island Sydney.
