Originally established in 1996 under the name of “Rentelec”, the company was then rebranded to “EVENTelec” in 2007 and is based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We have since grown to become Australia’s premier provider of specialised temporary electrical equipment and are a primary choice for promoters and organisers nationwide to undertake their distribution via our efficient plug and play solution.

EVENTelec powers up approximately 97 major events and festivals across sporting, music and lifestyle sectors each year. Our intellectual property and equipment have been specifically developed for the Australian temporary events industry through customisation. This enables our crews to be safe, compliant and resourceful which was recognised in 2016 as a National Finalist and runner up in the Australian Event Awards for “Best Product or Service”.

The company is solely owned and is operated by a dedicated team of industry professionals. The level of involvement required of me was significantly less than required in previous years with past electrical contractors, despite EVENTelec being unfamiliar with the site and completing the build for the first time. The team on site went above and beyond to fix issues as or before they arose, trouble shooting issues with other stakeholders on site.
