Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) has launched the 2018 Ungerboeck Young Professional Scholarship Program.
The Scholarship recognises young event professionals who excel in their role and who are looking to build on their skills to advance their career in the events industry.
They will join an elite alumni of event professionals who have gone on to build successful careers as senior managers and leaders in the events industry.
The partnership with Ungerboeck Software International is now in its 15th year. Fred Lazzerini, Managing Director Asia-Pacific for the company said:
“Ungerboeck is delighted to continue to partner with MEA on this valuable scholarship program and is proud to be associated with supporting the events industry to help guide young professionals to achieve their career goals”.
The Ungerboeck Young Professional Scholarship program is open to employees of MEA members 30 years of age or under with less than 3 years full time experience in the meetings and events industry.
Scholarships are awarded to one winner in each state and territory who will have the opportunity to attend the MEA National Conference EVOLVE 2019 in Brisbane to develop their skills and network with industry leaders.
Robyn Johnson, CEO of MEA, commented, “This program, over the years, has supported so many in the industry that have gone to achieve so much here in Australia and overseas.
“It is an integral part of the career pathway that MEA offers and appreciates Ungerboeck’s ongoing commitment to allow it to deliver the program and I encourage employers to support their team members to apply.”
