Newcastle’s Quality Hotel Noah’s On the Beach was the big winner at Choice Hotels Australasia’s (CHA) annual Franchisee of the Year awards, held at the Gold Coast recently, winning the Quality Hotel Category.
The Awards recognise excellence in customer relations, marketing, branding, franchisor relations, training and development, profitability and amenities. This award now automatically qualifies Noah’s for Choice Hotels International’s Hotel of the year award to take place in the USA next year.
“We are very proud that one of our City’s busiest venues has been recognised by this prestigious national award. Noahs is one of Newcastle’s most popular conference venues, hosting around 900 conferences, meetings & functions a year.” said Ruth Appleby from Newcastle Convention Bureau.
“It also provides accommodation for some of the thousands of delegates that attend conferences at the City’s larger venues. Its absolute beachfront location overlooking Newcastle Beach, together with its high standard of service and facilities, make it a very popular location with local, inter and intra-state customers” she said.
Noah’s has 91 4½star accommodation rooms and 5 conference rooms accommodating up to 300 persons theatre style.
NOAH’S Managing Director, Martin Hawcroft said, “We are absolutely delighted to have received this prestigious award. It recognises our investment in a high standard of accommodation, our commitment to ensuring a quality dining experience and our professionalism in providing excellence in conferencing facilities and services. NOAH’S is much more than bricks and mortar, we provide a welcoming home away from home for travellers, who are greeted by the smiling faces of our friendly longstanding Novocastrian staff. This award also validates our commitment to training and development in all areas of the hotel.”
Choice’s 48th annual conference was held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort. David Bayes, CEO of Choice Hotels Australasia presented the awards and Global President & CEO of Choice Hotels International, Steve Joyce, congratulated the winners.
