Rebrand proves a winner in more ways than one!

The recent re-branding exercise by the Adelaide Convention Bureau including a new name (previously  ACTA – Adelaide Convention Tourism Association), new logo and new strategies for all sectors of its business has proven to be a winner in more ways than one.

The Bureau has taken out the award for Tourism Marketing at the South Australian Tourism Awards Ceremony held in Adelaide on November 18th.

“We’re of course thrilled with the award” said Damien Kitto, Adelaide Convention Bureau CEO.  “I’m so proud of the entire Adelaide Convention Bureau team who worked tirelessly on our re-branding campaign which as anyone who has undertaken such a task, understands is not easy.  The research, consultation, strategy, design, marketing and final presentation of the product we were able to present to the local, national and international market was incredible”.

Universal  acceptance and accolades for the new name and logo and brand story behind both

The successful launch of three ’sub brands’ – Conventions Adelaide, Incentives Adelaide and Destination SA

Success resulting from the new sales and marketing strategy with a great result year to date in terms of business events bid for and won for South Australia, this includes greater international success which now accounts for 30% of annual return A 3-fold increase in the number of web based enquires on the destination which is testament to a new branded website

Media interest from national and international publications resulting in a number of multi-page features on South Australia being published in the past months

The Adelaide Convention Bureau’s Tourism Marketing award submission will now be submitted for the National Awards to be announced 11th March 2011.
