Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

Reminding people why events really deliver

The industry have been so focused on various aspects of recovery, namely insurance and a road map to re-open. However, it’s important that we also maintain effort on a third pillar – reminding clients why events and exhibitions really deliver. We are pleased to release a new “sticker” we encourage the industry to adopt and use on all material from print to online.  The new campaign is designed to reinforce our core focus and push the positives of live events. Through marketing, communications and relationships we must take clients (exhibitors and visitors) on the journey back to live events.

Real Experiences. Real Live Connections. Exhibitions Deliver.

Gary Fitz-Roy on behalf of NEA said:

“We have to turn the corner and start to work on the messaging and positivity for the future. We need to underline what the sector delivers and it’s important we do it in a united way. The focus needs to be on the future and developing the foundation of what we deliver and why clients need to return to live events; that is Exhibitions Deliver. The device carries key words such as real, live, experience and connect, however the hero line underlines what exhibitions do, deliver…

  • Qualified audience defined by their attendance
  • LIVE face to face contact
  • Sales and leads on the spot and for many years after
  • A united  total marketplace
  • Qualified database
  • Education, inspiration, networking and sales

When you consider what Exhibitions Deliver it makes the perfect positioning for our rebound.”

Whilst the Business Event Sector was valued in excess of $35 Billion it remains unknown how much the industry will rebound and over how many years. Modelling shows that 2022 is expected to take a hit of between 20-30% which is very much linked to being able to run Business Events from the start of 2022 and further growth will return as international borders open up. The key to rebounding will be centred around confidence of national borders being guaranteed to stay open and the desire for sectors to reconnect safely face-to-face.

Fitz-Roy added “whilst it’s important to keep working with Federal and State Governments presently every business sector is wanting their share of financial support, we need to work on what we can control and look towards the roadmap to rebuild the industry, positive messaging around Business Events relevance is a pretty good place to start and ensures we continue to communicate and have the same sell and gain wider and greater traction. It’s about looking at the glass as half full, and establishing the foundation messaging for 2022 now, and that is very much what we deliver”

The below logo has been developed for FREE use and we encourage venues, organisers and suppliers to implement the use and hash tag  #ExhibitionsDeliver and help in the reinforcement of the positioning, we are also sharing with other associations in the hope they see the merits on supporting this initiative.  NEA continues to work with, and on behalf of, the whole industry in the spirit it was established driven by passion to ensure Big and Small exhibition and event businesses have a voice and are recognised and respected.
