Staging Rentals & Construction Services continues to push ahead in cutting-edge staging services with a major investment into its construction capabilities both in its Sydney and Melbourne based branches.
The purchase of a new CNC Machine (or computerised cutter) for the Sydney branch complements the extensive construction capabilities available.
The CNC Machine works off CAD drawings which are created based on an event design and then passed through to the CNC operator who manages the machine. Large sheets of timber, laminate, Perspex and even foam can be fed into the CNC which then accurately and quickly cuts shapes.
Any shape from the basic through to the delicate and intricate can be cut at a fraction of the time (and cost) it would take to do by hand.
In addition, and due to increasing construction demand in Victoria, the Melbourne branch now has a construction workshop complete with their very own CNC Machine. Considered the final piece of the puzzle for the South Melbourne business, the addition of this machinery will result in a very different offering to the Melbourne market.
David Comer, Managing Director, Staging Rentals & Construction Services, believes the increase in capability of both Sydney and especially Melbourne will mean their clients will be able to push the limits of what is possible on events even further.
“The combination of our CNC machines, our CAD Designer and our extensive construction team of carpenters, aluminium and steel-fabricators, makes for a powerful combination.
“Our commitment to being the staging company that turns event ideas into a reality – safely, cleverly and cost effectively stands true. The new CNC Machines allow for event designers and producers to be more creative, not costly,” says Comer.
Damien Collins, State Manager, Staging Rentals & Construction Services Victoria sees the addition of the CNC Machine as a huge asset to the branch being able to provide services his clients seek.
“Having additional construction skills, tools and people will mean that we can build sets, props, stages, decorative additions, signs, exhibition stands, flooring, bars and everything in between in Melbourne.
We have just deleted the conversation about interstate freight costs from our vernacular,” says Collins.
Staging Rentals & Construction Services Victoria’s construction workshop is now open for business.
