Close to 8,000 medical industry professionals have given the new Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island ([email protected]) a clean bill of health, following the venue’s successful hosting of ADX14 Sydney in March.
The ADX14 Sydney dental exhibition series, convened by The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), the peak business organisation representing manufacturers and suppliers of dental products, was held for the first time at [email protected] from 21-23 March. The biennial event attracted more than 7,900 participants from across Australia and internationally, including 190 exhibitors across 450 exhibition booths and a three-streamed speaker and presentation program.
“ADX14 Sydney was a great success, largely due to the location and quality of the venue and the quality of assistance we received from the [email protected] team,” said Troy Williams, Chief Executive Officer of The Australian Dental Industry Association.
“ADX14 Sydney is not only the largest dental exhibition, it is the nation’s largest healthcare exhibition – and has a long-established reputation as a premium business promotion event to match. The decision to hold an event such as ADX14 Sydney at [email protected] was a considered one, based upon the expertise of the venue manager, AEG Ogden and the attributes of the venue itself.”
[email protected] was able to facilitate three purpose-built theatrettes which housed a series of consecutive professional skills programs for the attending stakeholders, a first for [email protected]
“The feedback from the exhibitors and visitors concerning the bright, open design of the venue was overwhelmingly positive and an unanticipated bonus for us as the organisers. It added to what was already a positive vibe within the event and made a real contribution to reinforcing the reputation of ADX14 Sydney as Australia’s premier dental event,” Mr. Williams said.
SEC @ GI General Manager, Malu Barrios, said she was delighted with the feedback.
“The enormity of the ADX14 exhibition and the outcome that has been achieved is a true testament to the location and operations of the new venue.
“Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island is proving to be a great interim facility during the development of Darling Harbour Live,” she said.
[email protected] launched in February 2014 and will continue to host Sydney’s trade and consumer exhibitions for three years during the construction of Sydney, Australia’s new exhibition, conference and entertainment facilities at Darling Harbour.
