Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

The Australian Event Awards launches a Search for a Home

The organisers of the Australian Event Awards are providing an opportunity for a State, Territory, venue, government bodies or partnerships thereof who wish to boost their region and promote their destination to the wider Australian events community, to become the ‘Destination Partner’ by hosting the culminating event of Australian Event Industry Month, the Australian Event Awards Ceremony.

Partnering with the Event Awards as the Destination Partner demonstrates your commitment to continued excellence and innovation in the events industry and profiles and positions you as the Events Capital of Australia to the industry’s very best practitioners. It is a unique opportunity to profile your brand, destination and venue to decision-makers across the entire events industry, across the entire country.

Becoming a Destination Partner provides exposure to the whole Australian events industry through the Awards’ database, media relationships and professional networks Australia-wide. It positions you as the chosen State / Territory and venue to host the prestigious Australian Event Awards Ceremony and provides opportunities to showcase the destination, venue and services in action to your target market. It is also an opportunity to be a part of a great event, celebrating the best of the industry.

“Your State or Territory would receive prominence as the location chosen from proposals across the entire country for the Australian Event Awards. Attended by a large number of event practitioners plus staff and crew, and web-streamed to hundreds more, the Awards Ceremony alone injects social, cultural, and economic benefits to the area to engage your events community more broadly, but also to instigate and advance public visitation.” Explains the Awards Management Team.

Of significant value are the opportunities the Awards have put forward to develop and extend the event experience of the Ceremony. 2021 offers a special opportunity to host a unique Event Awards Ceremony that not only aims to highlight achievements but also strives to represent and acknowledge the strength and resilience of the industry in the face of Covid-19.

“We are looking for innovative bids that can both facilitate the best possible delivery of the Australian Event Awards and work closely with our management team to make this year’s program an acknowledgement of industry resilience. We are looking for passionate, creative, and collaborative Destination Partners who are just as committed to creating an amazing event as we are. Traditionally collaborative bids have fared best, so I really encourage organisations to consider partnerships with each other and their destination.” Ian Steigrad, Managing Director of the Awards.

Bids close 5:00pm AEST on Tuesday 27 July 2021.
