Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

There is an event God – we are coming back!

The announcements by the new NSW Premier should put a skip in every event company step whether a venue, organiser or supplier!

Like many I have been conflicted with the change in premier for NSW but I give him credit to step up and be prepared to make changes to move things going.

Whether it be the simple, like the press briefing at 9am, to a raft of positive event changes, it all does what I for one have been calling for,  to lift CONFIDENCE. What seems so simple has an automatic positive affect.

And did you hear it, the premier actually mentioned EVENTS, so has Minister Ayres, who has been a supporter of our industry, and who can now make a difference.

That said, we now need Queensland to get onside and understand they either play the game or lose the game.

Whilst Victoria has been setting case records, at least Chairman Dan is sticking to his roadmap, and whilst Victoria may lag a few weeks behind NSW, there is equally hope that Victoria may slip in some events prior to Christmas.

There had to be a catalyst and NSW being far more assertive and pre-emptive hopefully pushes every other state along, as I said in a previous editorial NSW is pivotal to events opening in every state.

Let’s hope complacency and lack of the second jab doesn’t impact on the 80% target that will enable NSW to open up further on the 25th and the other states get on board.

The one word and I keep promoting is confidence and today the event gods delivered that.
