The revelation from BECA that only $8 million from the $50 million Business Events Grant Program has even been earmarked for distribution comes just days after the Federal Government announced an additional $135 million in support for our more glamorous cousins in the Arts.

To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.
That’s because the funding is not the issue. All our so called representatives have got it all wrong. Rather them blame the government re lack of $. They all should be targeting capacity numbers at venues just like sporting codes did last year.
